Penrith’s City Park opening just around the corner

Penrith’s new and vibrant green space in the heart of the City is due to be completed by the end of this month.

Penrith Mayor Todd Carney and Penrith City Council General Manager Andrew Moore standing in Penrith's new City ParkSet to become a focal point of the CBD, City Park will feature a large central lawn, water features, trees which will grow over time to create natural shade, pergolas, seating, and an amenities building with a green roof.

Creating a communal green space in Penrith was identified several years ago as an important part of the City’s transformation to attract more people to the City Centre and help to stimulate the local day and night-time economies.

It will be the perfect spot for workers and shoppers to meet up and relax during the day, while residents and visitors will be able to enjoy special events in the park in the future.

This project is funded by Council and the NSW Government.
